About 20 members of Concordia Center for Spiritual Living were joined by at least another half dozen people who happened to be enjoying the morning sunshine at Conimicut Point in beach cleanup Saturday. They picked up an assortment of trash from cigarette butts to paper coffee cups, cans and plastic bags. Rev. Alan Vukas observed, “You don’t have to wait until Earth Day.” Also not waiting to getting a jump on trash was Dan Calkin who pulled heavier debris including a couple of tires from the marshlands along Point Avenue.
