Softball tournament benefits Tomorrow Fund

PITCH PERFECT: David Cushman from Cushman Contracting Company pitched a great game at the Atwood Avenue field during the recent softball tournament to benefit the Tomorrow Fund.

AT BAT: At bat at Western Hills was Chris Constatino, who was a left-center fielder with the team Eyes on the Prize.

A DOUBLE PLAY: Making a double play during the softball tournament at the Atwood Avenue field was Marissa Cushman from Cushman Contracting Company.

WARMING UP: Warming up to pitch during the tournament was Elizabeth Letourneau from Conor’s Crew at the Atwood Avenue Field.

Recently, 12 softball teams participated in a double-elimination tournament that took place at the Atwood Avenue field, Western Hills and Bain. Sponsored by The Thirsty Beaver, each team was giving it their all for the win. The winning teams were National Gold (first place), Envy (second place) and Smithfield Thirsty Beaver (third place). They raised $3,300 dollars for the Tomorrow Fund and are looking to do another softball tournament in April. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
