On Saturday five volunteers from the Conimicut Village Association met at the corner of West Shore Road and Beach Avenue to provide some much needed TLC to Donovan Park. Armed with rakes, weeding tools, sheers, and brooms they devoted 3 hours each to weeding beds, trimming hedges and spreading the 20 bags of mulch purchased by CVA. The finishing touch was provided by Jack Welch, seen herE, when he returned on Sunday to mow and edge.
