Justyn Charon, outreach program specialist at the Vet Center is constantly looking for activities to engage veterans. He’s taken them fishing, set up guitar lessons and planned to expose them to outdoor activities such as archery. It’s no wonder then that he was delighted by the gift of 10 harmonicas by Chapter 9 of the Disabled American Veterans. The center will soon be offering veterans harmonica lessons. Sal Caizzo, commander of the local chapter was surprised at the cost of the musical instruments - $50 each – but is excited by what they’ll mean to veterans. Pictured outside
the center at 2038 Warwick Ave. are: Tom Gannon, treasurer of Chapter 9 DAV, Charon, Caizzo and center director Rochelle Fortin. (Warwick Beacon photo)
