Thanks to the efforts of several Warwick Neck residents, a piece of Warwick history has a new shine. City-owned land on Warwick Neck Avenue dominated by a boulder bearing a brass plate informing that the home of Warwick founder Samuel Gorton once stood near this spot has been cleared. Ward 5 Councilman Ed Ladouceur said the Warwick Neck Garden Club did much of the initial work and that city crews continue to maintain the property. Last week Neck resident Danny Hall provided an American flag and Susan Dzyacky of the garden club a solar light so that it would be lit at night. Rick Patenaude of R. Patenaude Landscaping used the bucket on his truck to install the light. (Warwick Beacon photos)
