Garden City Center kicked off its Summer Concert Series with a high-energy dance party from the band XS on July 22, featuring soul, funk, disco and more. The rest of the schedule for the series includes Tropical Night featuring the Copacetics on July 28, a night on the boardwalk featuring Elton John vs. Billy Joel on Aug. 4, and ’80s Night featuring Fast Times on Aug. 11. Q: How do you feel about the return of the Garden City Summer Concert Series returning?
Linda Cantone of Cranston: “Are you kidding? You are asking a musician! I think it is amazing that you can come here and enjoy great music with your family.”
“Since it is a family tradition, I am happy it is back,” said Rachael Fine , 11, who attended with her Pappa Jim. “I love the new editions with games and things to do.”
“I am very, very happy. I look forward to the concerts every year,” said Debbie Mercurio. “I have been coming for at least eight years and love to get up and dance.”
