Roundup: Pats come up just short in loss

Despite nearly regaining the lead in the final minute of action, being down one point with multiple possessions, the Pilgrim boys were unable to overcome the deficit as South Kingstown wrapped up the 72-67 win in Division II.
Dylan Vale led the Pats with 20 points while Carter Clifton added 18 and Jack Cirelli 10.

Times Squared Academy 59, Toll Gate 57
The Titans dropped a heartbreaking decision on Tuesday evening. Damola Oremosu led the way with 20 points for Toll Gate while Brayden Healey scored 19 and Liam Leahy nine.

BOYS HOCKEY
Hendricken 5, Smithfield 0
After dropping a tough decision to Prout then tying Barrington, the Bishop Hendricken hockey team would get back to its winning ways by shutting out Smithfield 5-0.
Aiden Craft, Nick Stevens, Cullen Crain, Ben Tamul and Jackson Field all scored goals for the Hawks while Mason Crain recorded two assists. Goalie Avery Picchione finished stopping all 13 shots faced.

Moses Brown 2, Pilgrim 1
The Quakers took home a DI win over Pilgrim last week.
Jackson Monte scored Pilgrim’s lone goal and was assisted by Jackson Bromage. Goalie Michael Bessette stopped 33 of 35 shots faced.

East Greenwich/Toll Gate 6, RMT 2
The EG/TG co-op held on to first place in DII with a win last week. Joe Andreozzi led the way with two goals while Brady Parks, Austen Dufresne, Brady Slinn and Cam Smith all recorded goals. Garrett Carney added a pair of assist as well as Parks, while goalie Cael Shanley racked up 11 saves in net.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Cumberland 39, Toll Gate 18
The Titans were led by Mary McNulty with seven points in their loss to Cumberland. Addison Eddy chipped in six points for the Titans.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Toll Gate 49, BVP/Central Falls 43
Katelyn Watson won the 200 freestyle while teammate Sam Lin won the 200 IM for the Titans. Lin also won the 100 free while Watson, Kassidy Roche, Lin and Tonia Cruz Urban won the 200 free relay. Watson later won the backstroke while she, Cruz Urban, Lin and Tate Payne won the 400 free relay.
