The Don Rodrigues Karate Academy of Warwick captured 19 awards at the KRANE National Championships this past weekend at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick.
Ashley Sacrey captured first place in Women’s Weapons and Women’s Forms, along with the Women’s Overall Weapons and the Women’s Overall Forms Grand Championships. Anthony Zangari captured the Men’s Middle Weight Fighting and the Men’s Overall Fighting Grand Championship.

Cindy Gabriel first 50/over Women’s Black Belt Weapons
Liz Forde Proffitt first place 50/over Women’s Under belt Forms and third place Women’s 50/over Under belt Weapons
Matt Martin first place Fighting Men’s 30-39 Under Belts
Chris Nolan first place 16-17 Under belt Weapons
Denise Gouvin second place 50/over Under belt Weapons and second place 50/over Under belt Forms
John D’Angelo IV second place 14-15 yr. old Advanced Weapons and fourth place 14-15 Advanced Forms
George Bradley second place Intermediate 8-9 yr. old Weapons, third in 8-9 Int. Fighting and fifth place in Int. Forms
James Martin fifth place in 8-9 Int. Boys Fighting.
