Public Hearing

Pursuant to the Rhode Island General Laws § 45-24-53
Public Notice is herby given of a Public Hearing for the consideration of:

 Ordinance 2021-1: An Ordinance in amendment of Article II  Definitions and Article III  Zoning Districts and Maps; Use Table of Section 340 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Johnston. Said Ordinance prohibits the development of Wind Turbines in all districts. Said Ordinance also prohibits drive-through restaurants from being located within 250 feet of a residential zone. 

THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD ON: 

Monday, January 11^th, 2021 AT 7:00 PM

 The meeting will be held at the Johnston Municipal Court, located at
1600 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.

Note: Due to the Pandemic, this meeting may need to be attended virtually only via Zoom and not in person. This will be dependent on any Executive Orders in force by the Governor at the time of the meeting.

The proposed Ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Any alteration or amendment must be presented for comment in the course of the hearing. Said proposed Ordinance is available at the office of the Town Clerk for examination.

The meeting place is accessible to the handicapped in conformance with R.I.G.L. 42-46-2. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office of the Town Clerk at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting date.
