BREAKING AND ENTERING

At 3:37 a.m. on Sept. 25, Cranston Police arrested Erik L. Eklund, 35, of 1 Edgewood Drive, Barrington, on charges of Breaking and Entering and Reckless/Eluding. The arrest is the result of a breaking and entering in progress call. Eklund awaited arraignment.


CHILD ABUSE

At 8:54 a.m. on Sept. 24, Cranston Police arrested Jose Pons, 34, of 56 Vermont St., Cranston, on charges of Child Abuse (Second Degree) as the result of the subject turning himself in based on a Cranston warrant. Pons was arraigned and released.


WARRANT

At 9:01 a.m. on Sept. 23, Cranston Police arrested Andrew Holland, 35, of 22 Bellevue Drive, Cranston, on a Cranston Police Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault, Domestic Refusal to Relinquish Telephone & Disorderly Conduct as a result of the suspect turning himself in at headquarters. Holland was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.

At 12:14 p.m. on Sept. 23, Cranston Police arrested Dax L. Polofsky, 46, of 4 Dwight St., Cranston, on a Cranston Police Arrest Warrant for Violation of No Contact Order as a result of a warrant pickup by RISP. Polofsky was held for arraignment.

At 6:03 p.m. on Sept. 22, Cranston Police arrested Arnold Angeles, 28, of 13 Ida St., Providence, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Harris Avenue and Cranston Street. Angeles was transferred to ACI Intake.

At 8 a.m. on Sept. 22, Cranston Police arrested Brittany M. Clark, 33, of 49 Randall St., Cranston, on a Cranston Police Arrest Warrant for Cruelty to or Neglect of Child as a result of the suspect turning herself in at headquarters. Clark was transferred to Third District Court.


ASSAULT

At 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 23, Cranston Police arrested Eugene M. Rotondo, 76, of 37 Hazelton St., Cranston, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault as a result of a disturbance call at 37 Hazelton St. Rotondo was held for arraignment.

At 10:12 p.m. on Sept. 23, Cranston Police arrested Andrea Manley, 18, of 100 Douglas St., Cranston on charges of Simple Assault or Battery which occurred at the Cranston Stadium. The arrest is the result of the suspect turning herself in to officers. Manley was issued a release to appear.

At 12:51 a.m. on Sept. 25, Cranston Police arrested Sophia Deburgo, 18, of 79 Waldron Ave., Apt. 2, on charges of Simple Assault or Battery and Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a disturbance call at the intersection of Summer Street and Waldron Avenue. Deburgo awaited arraignment.

At 5:38 p.m. on Sept. 21, Cranston Police arrested Rebecca Pierce, 30, of 78 Pawtuxet Ave., Cranston, on charges of Domestic Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of a call for a disturbance at the aforementioned address. Pierce was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.

At 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 21, Cranston Police arrested David Dutra, 26, of 84 Lloyd St., Warwick, on charges of Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of Warwick Police Department turning him over to the Cranston Police Department on an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant. Dutra was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.


DUI

At 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 21, Cranston Police arrested E. Cort Facteau, 61, of 100 Hartshorn Road, Providence, on charges of DUI – BAC Unknown (first offense) as a result of a traffic stop at 845 Oaklawn Ave. Facteau was held for arraignment.


LARCENY

At 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 20, Cranston Police arrested Christopher Ramella, 36, of 50 Sparrow Lane, Warwick, on charges of Larceny Over $1,500 as a result of a larceny complaint from Cranston West High School. Ramella was arraigned and released by Justice of the Peace.


VANDALISM

At 5:43 p.m. on Sept. 21, Cranston Police arrested Richard Klekot Jr., 52, of 291 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, on charges of Vandalism/Malicious Damage (two counts). The arrest was the result of an attempted pickup at the suspect’s address for an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant. Klekot was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.

At 1:10 a.m. on Sept. 15, Cranston Police arrested Ryan Dasnabedian, 25, of 92 Phenix Ave., West Warwick, on charges of Vandalism. The arrest was the result of RI State Police turning him over to the Cranston Police Department’s custody on an Arrest and Affidavit Warrant. Dasnabedian awaited arraignment.


SHOPLIFTING

At 10:35 a.m. on Sept. 24, Cranston Police arrested Jacqueline Rodriguez, 34, of 485 Plainfield St., Providence, on charges of Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct as the result of a shoplifting at Shaw’s on Chapel View Boulevard. Rodriguez awaited arraignment and transport to the ACI as a violator.

At 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 16, Cranston Police arrested Katelyn Wilcox, 36, of 50 Hope Ave., Hope, on charges of Shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a call for service at Walmart on Plainfield Pike. Wilcox awaited arraignment as a bail violator.

At 10:12 p.m. on Sept. 16, Cranston Police arrested David Araujo, 49, of 1 Canton St., Providence, on charges of Shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a call for service at Walmart on Plainfield Pike. Araujo awaited arraignment as a bail violator.

At 3:41 p.m. on Sept. 15, Cranston Police arrested Bonny Lee, 51, of 145 Grove St., Providence, on charges of Shoplifting as a result of a larceny complaint at Stop and Shop on Garfield Avenue. Lee was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and transported to Women’s Intake as a bail violator.

At 2:39 p.m. on Sept. 13, Cranston Police arrested Dawn Evans, 52, of 941 Dyer Ave., Apt.  1404, Cranston, on charges of Shoplifting and a Third District Court Bench Warrant as the result of a shoplifting call at Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue. Evans was arraigned and sent to the ACI as a bail violator.

At 2:49 p.m. on Sept. 12, Cranston Police arrested Tracy Alston, 56, of 2020 Elmwood Ave., Warwick, on charges of Shoplifting and three Superior Court Bench Warrants as the result of a shoplifting call at Lowe’s on Garfield Avenue. Alston awaited arraignment.


NO CONTACT ORDER VIOLATION

At 3:12 p.m. on Sept. 24, Cranston Police arrested Vincent B. Smith, 61, of 335 Simmonsville Ave., Apt. 103, Johnston, on charges of one count of a Violation of a No Contact Order (Third or Subsequent). The arrest was the result of a previously issued Arrest and Affidavit Warrant and subsequent pickup by the Johnston Police Department. Smith was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to ACI Intake (Bail Violator).

At 1:48 p.m. on Sept. 13, Cranston Police arrested Pedro Montengro, 40, of 825 Pontiac Ave., Apt. 1320, Cranston, on charges of Violation of a No Contact Order. Montengro was turned over to the Providence Police Department.
