PROPOSED ORDINANCE 03-25-03 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 2, CHAPTERS 20 & 28, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON, 2005, ENTITLED ‘ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL’
It is Ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 2, “Administration and Personnel”, Chapter 20, “Police Pension Fund” of the Code of the City of Cranston is hereby amended to ADD Chapter 2.20.090 as follows:
2.20.090 – Annual Certification.
All members/retirees must furnish the director of finance with an annual certification of proof of life and all other documentation provided for in this section on or before May 1st of each year or the administration may withhold the member’s/retiree’s pension benefit pending such filing.
Section 2. Title 2, “Administration and Personnel”, Chapter 28, “Firemen’s Pension Fund” of the Code of the City of Cranston is hereby amended to ADD Chapter 2.28.140 as follows:
2.28.140 – Annual Certification.
All members/retirees must furnish the director of finance with an annual certification of proof of life and all other documentation provided for in this section on or before May 1st of each year or the administration may withhold the member’s/retiree’s pension benefit pending such filing.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption.
