Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws § 45-24-53 that the Johnston Town Council will hold a Public Hearing Monday, January 11, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Johnston Municipal Court, located at 1600 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919. Due to the Pandemic, this meeting may need to be attended virtually only via Zoom and not in person. This will be dependent upon any Executive Orders in force by the Governor at the time of the meeting.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider proposed Ordinance 2021-2 (formerly 2020-CP-151) to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Map, as summarized here.

The proposed Ordinance may be altered or amended prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the public hearing. Said proposed Ordinance is available at the office of the Town Clerk for examination. Any alteration or amendment will be presented for comment in the course of the hearing. All persons interested in the above application are requested to attend said meeting and be heard. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office of the Town Clerk seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the hearing date.
