No prospects of acceptable solutions

To the Editor,

In less than two years our lives have changed dramatically from the accepted lifestyles of years past. It began in March 2020 with the pandemic spreading worldwide at an uncontrollable pace. We then had various levels of social unrest from the regrettable death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. Also, there is unresolved immigration concerns at our southern border and today we are faced with the loss of 20 years of creating a democracy in Afghanistan.

The immediate fallout is unclear yet the lives of the many who supported our military effort are now in grave danger. Also, women in the workforce may face extreme measures. Not sure of any implications that will affect the safety of the American populace.

All this we are currently enduring with no prospects of acceptable solutions that can diffuse any of the above problems. Have our present and past leaders failed us?
