Music on the Hill wraps up its festival of chamber music with their Festival Finale this Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 30 Peirce St. in East Greenwich.

Sergei Prokofiev’s “Quintet in G Minor, Op. 39” and Dave Anderson’s “Quintet for Oboe, Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Bass” will feature Lina Bahn on violin, Stephen Goist on viola, John Pellegrino on bass, Marie Gabriele on oboe, and Kathleen Costello on clarinet. Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Suite No.3 in C Major will be performed by cellist Trevor Dandy.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival was the pair of concerts held at Linesider Brewing in East Greenwich. Drinking beer and eating food truck food during a stately chamber concert was certainly a new experience and one thoroughly enjoyed by both musicians and audiences.

The other highlight was the performance of Liam DaRosa who opened Monday night’s concert with a stellar rendition of Cecil Forsyth’s “Concerto in G Minor for Viola and piano. The Cranston resident was accompanied by Juan Rios on piano. Liam is the winner of Music on the Hill’s 2023 scholarship.
