Rachel Warren played Wendy in Trinity Rep’s version of “Peter Pan,” directed by Amanda Dehnery, Mauro Hantman played Peter.

Many of the former Alias Stage actors split to form their own company, First Stage Providence. Their first production was Chekov’s “Three Sisters” performed at the small space in the Providence Athenaeum.

Tony Papa’s was one of our favorite Rolfe Street restaurants until a fire forced it to close. Seven years later, Tony was back in the business at 39 Phenix Ave., also in Cranston.

Toby Maguire played Spiderman/Peter Parker in the 2002 version of the comic strip superhero.

“Star Wars: Episode II-Attack of the Clones” was the next version of the sci-fi series.

Richard Jenkins starred as Austin in Sam Shepard’s “True West” at Trinity Rep., followed by “Talley’s Folley,” starring Timothy Crowe and Timothy Daly.

John Kennedy (yes, THE John Kennedy) was very good as Christopher in Brown’s production of “Playboy of the Western World.”

Frank Sinatra performed at the Providence Civic Center.

Healy’s Seafood in Warwick had six pounds of quahogs for a dollar. Swordfish was $4.99 per pound. R.I. clams were 89 cents a pound.

“A Chorus Line” returned to the Ocean State Theatre.

“Conan the Barbarian” starred Arnold Schwarzenegger was at the Showcase. Carl Reiner and Steve Martin starred in “Dead men Don’t Wear Plaid”.

Edna Grace directed “Night Watch” at Barker Playhouse. The Warwick Players did “Butterflies Are Free” at Sherman School.

Legendary animal trainer Gunther Gabel-Williams was the star of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus at the Civic Center.

A cast of 100 Cranston school children participated in “The Wizard of Oz” at Cranston East.
