The Arts at Bishop Hendricken presents Little Shop of Horrors as its 2022 Winter musical from March 3-6 in the Dr. Daniel S. Harrop Theater.
The production will feature a 4-show run with performances on: Thursday, March 3 at 7pm; Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 5 at 7.p.m.; and Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for students/seniors and $15 for adults. Masks are optional for all audiences.
“We’re incredibly excited to present this larger-thanlife musical,” said Richard Sylvia, Director of Arts and Dean of Campus Life. “It’s complete with talent, fun, and of course, puppets. Audiences are going to fall in love with this cast and its performance.”
Based on the 1960 and 1986 film adaptations, and the 1982 off-Broadway musical comedy, Little Shop of Horrors follows the story of Seymour Krelborn, a meek floral assistant who stumbles across a new breed of plant. The foul-mouthed, singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers the plant’s out-of-this-world origins and intent toward global domination. The production features music from legendary composer, Alan Menken.
Bishop Hendricken’s production features a company of more than 50 student actors, technicians, and musicians
