BREAKING AND ENTERING

Patrolmen Robert H. Cardoza and Christopher Rotella responded to Sixth Division District Court in Providence on the afternoon of Aug. 24 to take custody of Luis Luna, 19, 380 Hope St., Providence, on a Johnston Police warrant for a charge of breaking and entering.

The arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred the morning of July 21, 2019, when Patrolmen Kevin Lyons and Remy Mendez were dispatched for a breaking and entering call. Upon their arrival, they spoke to the reporting party, who said 30 minutes earlier he had noticed a broken window on the right side of his garage. When he looked into the garage, he discovered that his dirt bike had been stolen.

Lyons spoke with another party, who said the garage window wasn’t broken the afternoon before when he put the garbage in the garage. Lyons said there was shattered glass outside and inside the garage, and the camera located in front of the house did not capture any suspicious activity. DRIVING TO ENDANGER

Patrolman Anthony G. St. Laurent responded to 1303 Atwood Ave. on the afternoon of Sept. 2 for the report of a three-vehicle accident with injuries.

It was determined, St. Laurent said, that Jacob Quinn, 20, 223 Beach Ave., Warwick, was traveling at a high rate of speed based on the witness statements and that the vehicle traveling behind him was witnessing him traveling at a high rate of speed.

St. Laurent said Quinn was driving with reckless intent and endangering multiple drivers in the process. He said he asked Quinn if he had an active driver’s license, to which he responded that he did not. Quinn was arrested and charged with felony driving so as to endanger, resulting in physical injury. He was also issued a violation for driving with an expired license or without a license.

Quinn was later arraigned and released on $10,000 personal recognizance until a Sixth Division District Court date set for Dec. 2. WARRANT

Patrolman Anthony G. St. Laurent was on routine patrol on Federal Way Drive the evening of Sept. 3 when he recognized the operator as David DelGreco, 33, 141 Federal Way, Johnston.

St. Laurent said that based on previous contacts, he was aware that DelGreco was wanted on an active bench warrant issued from Third Division District Court. He detained DelGreco and checks confirmed the warrant on a charge of disorderly conduct.

DelGreco was arraigned and paid $500 for the surety bail of $5,000. He was given a new District Court date of Nov. 2. SUSPENDED LICENSE

Patrolman Charles M. Psilopoulos and Sgt. Luca Lancellotti responded to 8 Crescent Ave. in Riverside in an attempt to locate Stephanie Peno, 30, a resident at that address.

East Providence Police were notified and arrived on scene as well. Peno was located and placed under arrest on a charge of driving with a suspended license, which stemmed from a July 31 motor vehicle accident. Peno was released with a Third Division District Court summons to appear Nov. 2.
