WARRANT

Patrolman Anthony G. St. Laurent and members of the first watch responded to Greenville Avenue the morning of Aug. 19 for a breaking and entering in progress.

Upon arrival, St. Laurent met with there reporting party, who said she heard a loud banging noise coming from her sliding glass door located at the rear of the residence. She stated that she did see a woman standing at the door. St. Laurent said she spoke with the woman, later identified as Christyna Rose Duffy, 30, of Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The woman said Duffy told her that she was banging on the door because she needed to use the bathroom. She said she told the woman to leave the property immediately because she wasn’t welcome. The reporting party said there was no entry into her home.

After speaking with her, St. Laurent went to the rear of the residence where he located vehicle parked and unattended. He walked over to a residence on Greenville Avenue, where he located Duffy sleeping in the driver’s seat of an unattended car parked in the driveway.

St. Laurent spoke to Duffy, who said she was taking a nap because she was tired, and she also said that she was “hiding from us, because crime was going on.” St. Laurent said that he noticed Duffy had bloodshot eyes and was unable to keep her balance at times. Johnston Fire Department officials arrived on scene to evaluate Duffy, whom they determined to be in good health. St. Laurent also spoke with the owner of the vehicle in which Duffy was found, who reported no property to be missing.

Procedural checks showed that Duffy had an active warrant out of the Burrillville Police Department for vandalism/malicious injury to property and willful trespass. ***

Patrolwoman Kayleigh T. Cooper was traveling west on Hartford Avenue on the afternoon of Aug. 22 and saw a car driving in the opposite direction with window tint.

Cooper detained the vehicle across from 1126 Hartford Ave. and made contact with the operator, identified as Bria Washington, 28, 56 Charles St., East Providence. A RILETS check revealed Washington was wanted on two bench warrants – the first was a hold without bail for failure to appear for arraignment warrant, and the second was a Superior Court full bench warrant at the Attorney General’s request from an initial charge for possession of a Schedule I-V drug.

Washington was arrested and taken back to Johnston Police headquarters. ***

Patrolman Thomas Santurri was on routine patrol in the area of Goldsmith Street near the bike path on the evening of Aug. 7 when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked by the gate the separates the road from private property.

Santurri made contact with the operator, identified as Tywion Harris, 22, 37 Yorkshire, Providence. Communications personnel advised Santurri that Harris was wanted on an active warrant from Sixth Division District Court for failure to appear for pretrial conference originating from the Pawtucket Police Department. Harris was arrested and transported to JPD headquarters without incident. ASSAULT

Patrolman Merrick A. Cook responded to 776 Hartford Ave. on the evening of Aug. 22 for a report of a disturbance between neighbors.

Upon arrival, Cook spoke with residents Renee Cinquegrano, 46, and Sherry Rivers, 46, who said that minutes earlier their neighbor in another trailer – Arianna Maria Roberti, 32 – was standing outside their trailer breaking their potted plants and threatening to fight them. They said that when they exited their trailer to confront Roberti, she started wrestling with Cinquegrano.

According to Cook, Cinquegrano said that she was pushed to the ground by Roberti, at which time Rivers stated that she grabbed Cinquegrano’s metal cane and began hitting Roberti in an attempt to stop her from assaulting Cinquegrano.

Cook said that Roberti stopped fighting and retreated back to her trailer eventually. Cook observed minor injuries to Cinquegrano’s right knee and right arm and she refused medical attention at the scene. Rivers had no injuries at this time. Cinquegrano said she did not wish to press charges against Roberti at that time.

While on scene, Cook said he spoke with Roberti and another party, the latter of whom said he witnessed the incident. Roberti said that she was assaulted by Rivers and Cinquegrano while she was walking by their trailer. Cook observed her to have several lacerations to her face and summoned Johnston Rescue to respond for her injuries. Cook said Roberti told him that Roberti wished to press charges against Cinquegrano and Rivers for assault.

He also spoke with another party on scene, who said they observed Rivers striking Roberti with a cane several times. The man said he tried to break up the fight but was unsuccessful. Cook said Roberti was unable to complete a written statement at the time because of her injuries, but reiterated that she wished to press charges. Roberti was issued a Third Division District Court summons for disorderly conduct and will appear on Nov. 2.

A third-party witness provided police a video of the disturbance which shows Rivers hitting Roberti several times with what appeared to be a cane. Cook said that based on observation of the video and the statements provided, Cinquegrano and Rivers were taken into custody at the scene. Cinquegrano was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, and Rivers was charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct.

Rivers was later arraigned and released on $5,000 personal recognizance and issued a Third Division District Court date of Nov. 2. Cinquegrano was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance with the same Third Division District Court date.
