Johnston students leave their socially distanced mark

Posted

Johnston Senior High School Student Council members Lala Olagundoye, Josephine Olagundoye and Nick Petrillo painted paw prints on the school entryway for the start of year on Sept. 23.

The paw prints are 6 feet apart and run across the sidewalk in front of the school, to not only represent Panther pride, but to also act as social distancing guides for students when they arrive at school in the morning. This clever way of keeping students as distant as possible is only one of the many regulations JHS has established to adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines.

Big thanks to Student Council Advisor Greg Russo for providing the paint and Principal Donna Pennacchia for passing the idea to the Council and for allowing it to be carried out. We will all get through these tough times one step at a time with Panther pride!
