French, Buchanan earn JWU honors

Johnson & Wales University (JWU) students, Ian French of Warwick, an Advertising & Marketing Communications major in the College of Business, and Haley Buchanan of Warwick, a Criminal Justice major in the John Hazen White College of Arts & Sciences, have been named to the dean's list for the Spring 2020 term. French, a sophomore, is the son of Neil and Alyson French and a 2019 graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School.Buchanan, a sophomore, is the daughter of Paul Buchanan and Melissa McGann and a 2018 graduate of Pilgrim High School.

Emma Thomas graduates

East Greenwich resident Emma Thomas who was majoring in Neuroscience in Lexington, KY was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She will be working as a Medical Assistant for two anesthesiologists in Louisville.

Blackmar, Wiggins earn degrees

Sean Blackmar of Warwick and Sean Wiggins of East Greenwich graduated recently from Eastern Connecticut State University. Blackmar graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in New Media Studies. Wiggins graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems.

McMullen, Rogers, Batista earn degrees

David McMullen and Mikayla Rogers of Warwick in addition to Jake Batista of East Greenwich graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Batista obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration. McMullen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and made the 2020 spring dean’s list. Rogers received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Physical Therapy. The graduates of 2020 were saluted with an official class of 2020 web page on the school’s website which includes a toast from the college President Mary-Beth Cooper.

3 Warwick residents make dean’s list

Jared Shibley, Alexis Blake, and Blake Roberge of Warwick have been named to the 2020 spring semester dean’s list at Springfield College in Massachusetts. Shibley is studying Applied Exercise Science. Blake is studying Digital, Web, and Multimedia Design. Roberge is studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy.

 Earning honors at Delaware

Carolyn Caldwell, Stefanie Chow, and Julia Kausel of East Greenwich and Hannah Kelly, Tyler Merrow, and Alexis Olson of Warwick all made the 2020 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Delaware.

Norton, Thompson make dean’s list

David Norton and Margaret Thompson of East Greenwich are studying at James Madison University in Virginia and were named to the dean’s list for the 2020 Spring Semester.

Emily Brynes makes dean’s list

Emily Brynes, of Warwick, is studying in Albany, New York at the College of Saint Rose and was named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester.

Josiah Johnson earns honors

Josiah Johnson, of Warwick, has been named to the 2020 spring semester dean’s List at American International College.

Area residents awarded WPI degrees

Worcester Polytechnic Institute celebrated graduates with a socially distanced commencement. The Class of 2020 included Warwick residents Finn Casey who was awarded a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering with distinction; Stephanie Racca who was awarded a bachelor of science degree in computer science, and Avery Ingegneri who was awarded a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with high distinction. Ingegneri made the 2020 dean’s list for the spring semester. East Greenwich residents William Campbell and Brittany Lewis were also members of the Class of 2020. William Campbell was awarded a bachelor of science degree in computer science with high distinction, making the 2020 spring semester deans list. Brittany Lewis was awarded a master of science degree in computer science.

  Adams, Defreirtas, and Tolbert make dean’s list

Emily Adams of East Greenwich along with Steven Defreitas and Matthew Tolbert of Warwick made the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Adams is a member of the class of 2022 and is majoring in biomedical engineering. Defreitas is a member of the class of 2023 and is majoring in biomedical engineering. Tolbert is a member of the class of 2021 and is majoring in computer science.  

Area residents earn Rochester honors

Warwick residents Julia Modern, who is in the biomedical sciences program, Kaleigh Marcotte, who is in the chemical engineering program, Celeste Gambardella, who is in the software engineering program, Kiernan Habershaw who is in the electrical mechanical engineering technology program, and East Greenwich residents Brooke Matus who is in the physician assistant program, and Douglas Cochran, who is in the civil engineering technology program, all have been named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Ingram, Pesola make dean’s list

Brittany Ingram of East Greenwich and Eric Pesola of Warwick were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of 2020 at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. Ingram is a Marine Science major and Pesola is a management major.

Cranston residents make dean’s list

Cranston residents Lindsey Adams, Bryce Antoch, Anthony Simeone, Andrew Palazzo, and Olivia Webb made the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at Dean College in Massachusetts.

Tyler Russo makes dean’s list

Tyler Russo of Johnston, who is studying at Dean College in Massachusetts was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of 2020.

Coleman, McGowan, Yakey on dean’s list

Zoe Coleman, Elizabeth McGowan, and Katrina Yakey of Warwick, students at Dean College in Massachusetts were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of 2020.

Area residents earn UNH honors

Ally Wilson, Riley Espat, Shannon Light, Samantha Adams, Ryan Lennon, Leah Huling, Emily Clegg, and Alex Stern of East Greenwich along with Warwick residents Kelly Schnell, Alexandra Marzilli, and Rachel Goding have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester of 2020 at the University of New Hampshire. Wilson earned High Honors and is majoring in Political Science. Espat earned Highest Honors and is majoring in Political Science. Light earned Highest Honors and is majoring in Communication: Business Applications. Adams earned High Honors and is majoring in Communication. Lennon earned Honors and is majoring in Business Administration. Huling earned High Honors and is majoring in Psychology. Clegg earned Highest Honors is majoring in Political Science. Stern earned Highest Honors and is majoring in Political Science. Schnell earned High Honors and is majoring in Social Work. Marzilli earned Highest Honors and is majoring in Biomedical Science: Medical Lab Science. Goding earned Highest Honors and is majoring in Nutrition: Nutrition & Wellness.
