JHS National Honor Society, Student Council help run much-needed blood drive

Posted

The Rhode Island Blood Center held a blood drive on Sept. 23 at the Johnston Senior Citizen Center.

The event, taking place from 2 to 8 p.m., had 56 presenting donors. Members of the Johnston High School National Honor Society and Student Council were present to help run the drive, checking in donors and taking their temperatures.

Due to the continuous need for donations, the RIBC strongly encourages participation in future blood drives. It has been an increasingly difficult time attracting patrons, but recent times have made the need for blood donations all the more important!

We give a sincere thank you to the Johnston High School NHS and Student Council for their continued support, as well as to the Rhode Island Blood Center for their efforts in helping save lives!
