To the Editor,
I almost killed a mother and child.
Decades ago I moved to the Namquid Drive area. It was disturbing to see folks walking at night in the street with no reflectors or lights. It seemed that we would hear about accidents constantly.
Last night it was very dark as I drove west on Namquid Drive, a woman appeared in my lane pushing a carriage. She was dressed with dark clothes and the carriage was hardly visible. Needless to say I was startled and realized that I could have easily killed them! I honked later which no doubt did nothing!
INSANITY
Similar folks with carriages push their babies in the street on curvy Narragansett Boulevard. Is this suicidal?
Nothing can be done to deter these people from their dangerous behavior. Like other aspects in our country and world one has to wonder about stupidity!
Imagine pushing a baby carriage on a dark street!
