After graduation was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic about 800 students as part of the University of Rhode Island Class of 2020 walked across the stage at the Ryan Center last weekend. Warwick resident Alec DiRaimo who graduated from the business school was excited to finally receive his diploma. He is currently working for a corporate accounting firm and is working simultaneously for his CPA and Masters Degree. “After a year and a half you kind of forget about it, but last night the reality set in that I was really going to walk across that stage,” DiRaimo said following the commencement ceremony. “Today made all of the hard work worth the effort but I still have more to accomplish.” The keynote speaker was Gov. Dan McKee. (Submitted photo)
