Free event on the state of Rhode Island politics

The Providence Athenaeum and The Public’s Radio are proud to partner to present The Public’s Voice, a panel discussion on the state of Rhode Island politics, on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

Ian Donnis, political reporter for The Public’s Radio, will host and moderate the discussion. Joining the conversation are three experts in Rhode Island politics: Steve Frias, local historian and RI GOP National Committeeman; Nirva LaFortune, Providence Ward 3 City Councilor and former mayoral candidate; and Adam Myers, Professor of Political Science at Providence College.

The discussion will occur in person from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Providence Athenaeum (251 Benefit St., Providence, RI, 02903). The event is free and open to members and nonmembers of the Providence Athenaeum. Please register for tickets at eventbrite.com/e/in-person-the-publics-voice-tickets-407500373587. Ticket includes access to a pre-program reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

The discussion will be recorded and broadcast on The Public’s Radio on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. Tune in to 89.3FM or stream online at thepublicsradio.org.
