The Cranston West boys soccer team played its annual Injury Fund exhibition last weekend at Cranston Stadium and picked up the win over the West Warwick Wizards. The Falcons are coming off of a season in which they qualified for the Division II playoffs and they are looking to return to the postseason once again with a roster that boasts a whopping 14 seniors.
Some key returners include Aiden Rivera, Collin Khanjari, Jacob Morais, Jon Frias and Elhadji Ndoye. The team will also be led by first-year coach Yair Correa, who is a coach in the New England Revolution Academy program.
The Falcons will open their 2022 regular season on Thursday when the travel to North Smithfield to take on the Northmen for a 6:30 p.m. matchup. The team will have over a week off before hitting the road to take on Pilgrim and then will play its home opener on Sept. 19 when it hosts Mt. Hope.
