BankNewport officially opened its 18th branch in Rhode Island, and first in Warwick, at 27 Strawberry Field Road with a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning.

A community celebration from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4th will feature the renowned Audrain Auto Museum and its Cars and Coffee event. The event is free and open to the public and will include a 2013 McLaren 12C, 2015 Bentley GT3R, 2011 Porsche 911 GT3RS, and a 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale (cars subject to change), raffle prizes, and a food truck offering baked goods and coffee.

“We are thrilled to open our doors in the Warwick community,” said Jack Murphy, President & CEO, BankNewport. “As a true community bank, we are committed to serving all Rhode Islanders, and this team is ready to hit the ground running and provide a personalized and efficient banking experience to customers, whether they are new to us or have been banking with us for years.”

The full-service branch features the latest banking technologies for customer convenience, including drive-up image-enabled Personal Teller Machine (PTM) providing extended hours for banker support, in addition to a walk-up ATM and a night depository.

Jessica L. Couto, of Foster, manager of the new branch, is responsible for customer service, branch operations, and team development.

“Jessica has been a valuable member of the BankNewport team since 2015 and she truly exemplifies our company’s commitment to our customers and the neighborhoods in which we do business,” said Amy Riccitelli, Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Sales, BankNewport. “Jessica’s experience and leadership will be invaluable as we expand our presence into Warwick, and I have every confidence that she and her team will serve the City well for years to come.”

Prior to her new position, Couto served as branch sales manager of the Bank’s Tiverton and Middletown branches. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth-Tiverton and the SouthCoast Chamber and serves on the board of the RI 4-H Club Foundation.
