To the Editor,
I choose incumbent Aniece Germain as candidate for the office of City Council Ward 2 in Cranston, RI. Aniece Germain acquired a great deal of experience dealing with local, county and state legislation in the past few years. In her first term, Ms. Germain gained respect from the public as well as the law makers and government officials.
I most admire Ms. Germain for her dedication to inclusivity, requesting the administration and City Council celebrate Black History Month in Cranston throughout the month of February, in addition to passing resolutions recognizing Diversity Month and National Immigrants Day. These types of resolutions bring us all together.
She has also passed a number of quality of life and safety resolutions and ordinances during her first term on the City Council, including an ordinance installing crosswalks at the intersection of Park Ave. and Grace St. and a resolution urging the council and administration to use ARPA funds to repair, renovate and fix Budlong pool.
Through these last two years, I have acquired respect and admiration for Ms. Germain’s generosity, intelligence, and dedication to the city of Cranston.
With proud enthusiasm, I support Aniece Germain as the Democratic candidate for Cranston City Council Ward 2, and I urge you to do the same.
Elana Leanna
