The Cranston East girls volleyball team edged West Warwick 3-2 (28-26/24-26/25-20/23-25/19-17) in a close contest last week.
Sarina Marines led East with 32 kills and 31 digs, while Taylor Simoneau added 30 digs and four aces. Zilaldi Natareno finished with 42 assists and 22 digs for the Bolts.
The victory improved East’s league record to 2-3 this fall while its overall record is 3-7. The Bolts faced Prout on Tuesday, but the results were not available at press time. The team also faced East Greenwich on Wednesday.
