Peter Kreeft, Professor of Philosophy at Boston College will speak on “Spiritual Warfare: How People of Faith Can Combat Unholy Influences in Society,” on Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s School Auditorium (1789 Broad Street, Cranston, R.I. 02905).

A convert to the Catholic Church from Calvinism, Dr. Kreeft has been a major literary force in the world of English-language Catholic apologetics for several decades. He has authored more than 100 books including “Handbook of Catholic Apologetics” and “Because God Is Real.”

He holds an undergraduate and master’s degree from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan and a PhD in philosophy from Fordham University in New York City. In addition to Boston College, he has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at a variety of American universities and colleges covering subjects such as philosophy, religion, ethics, as well as Socrates, Plato, Pascal, C.S. Lewis, St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. His scholarship has impacted modern religious thinking and the preaching and writings of many prominent Catholic and Christian theologians for more than 60 years.
