Carol Janet (Longiaru) Deering was born October 12, 1944, and passed away on April 24, 2025, at 80 years of age in Warwick, RI.
Intelligent and loving are two words that come to mind when I think of my wife, Carol. From early in her life, she looked for adventure, traveling to Italy, Spain and Mexico where she lived for two years.
She graduated from Warwick Vets High School then was off to Northeastern at age 17. After two years, she felt a need to travel and set off around the country alone or with a friend.
She was outgoing, sometimes loud and usually fun, she easily enjoyed people and often became a friend for life.
I met her at Conimicut beach in Warwick R.I. We talked and talked.
Carol adored her nieces and nephews and her many cousins and her sister Corinna Doris.
She worked as an accountant, and had artistic talent, watercolors, pottery and crocheting. She loved animals, especially our cats.
We lived in R.I., Aurora Colorado and San Diego. At the end of her life, though afflicted with cancer, she still wore a smile and never complained about life. She is missed.
