Caregiving can feel isolating, but you are not alone. There are over 34 million Americans providing unpaid care to an adult 50 or older and nearly 16 million are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. But when you are overwhelmed and exhausted by caregiving responsibilities, it can feel like you are the only person dealing with so much. That is why caregiving groups are so helpful. They are filled with people who are in similar situations. Being able to talk with others who truly understand reduces stress, validates your experience and gives connection and support. Fee*: AARP Members $20/Non-members $25
This refresher course is designed specifically for drivers 50 and older. It will help you refresh your driving skills and your knowledge of the rules and hazards of the road. Class begins promptly at 9 a.m. – no late comers will be allowed. Exact change or check is given to the instructor. Please bring a lunch, snack and beverage to this class because none are available. This presentation will focus on Elder Law. Elder Law is a field that addresses legal issues that affect older individuals and the general concerns that go along with elder law. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
