The umbrella design with rain drops designating the ten subjects covered by the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon created by Warwick Area Career and Technical Center graphics art student Aliviah Sykes was chosen as the T-shirt design for this year’s decathlon. The event with teams from 12 schools was held March 6 at Bryant University. The East Greenwich team won the competition. Sykes, whose design was chosen for the second consecutive year is pictured with center director Tim Kane, graphics arts instructor Jann Rogers Gartner and fellow students. (Warwick Beacon photo)
