NEW BUSINESS

The council approved a resolution authorizing Mayor Joseph Polisena to enter into an agreement to realize savings for the town’s acquisition of electricity, natural gas and related support services.

The council approved a resolution awarding a bid and authorizing Mayor Polisena to enter into an agreement for a new roof at the Willow Street Fire Station.

The council approved a petition from National Grid and Verizon New England Inc. for the installation of three new jointly owned poles numbered 195-50, 196-50 and 197-50 on Central Avenue.

The council approved a petition from National Grid and Verizon New England Inc. for the installation of a new jointly owned pole numbered 196-51 on Central Avenue.

The council approved a petition from National Grid and Verizon New England Inc. for the installation of three new jointly owned poles numbered 5, 6 and 7 on Lake View Court.

The council approved the reappointment of alternate members Dennis Cardillo and Albert Colannino Jr. to the Zoning Board.

The council approved the reappointment of Robert Piscione and Susanna Carlino to the Retirement Board.

The council approved, 4-0, the reappointment of Donna Folcarelli, District 1 to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. District 1 Councilwoman Linda Folcarelli recused herself from the vote.

The council approved the reappointment of Lila Zuchowski, District 5 to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board.

PUBLIC HEARING

The council approved an ordinance for the abandonment of a portion of Elmhurst Avenue located on assessor’s plat 16. The petition was submitted by Kenneth Marandola Jr.
