Elementary school students in Cranston and Warwick accepted the challenge of the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution to compete in the national poster contest to stimulate interest in American history . Theme for this year’s contest is “Revolutionary War Event or Events.” The Rhode Island Society, Sons of the American Revolution will select a state winner from the 10 Cranston and 40 Warwick entries. Warwick schools with entries include Park, Cedar Hill, Warwick Neck and Robertson. Here members of the Rhode Island society, Ron Barnes, John Adams and Joe Brennan look over submissions.
