Preliminary Plan

You are hereby notified that the Cranston City Plan Commission will meet to review the Preliminary Plan for a proposed Major four (4) lot subdivision for single family homes entitled “Elite Drive Subdivision.” This public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of Cranston City Hall, 869 Park Avenue.

The subject parcel is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Elite Dr. and Raymond Dr. as well as at the terminus of Janet Drive, Assessor’s Plat 26/4, Lot 50. The property owners and applicants are David M. Devany and Earl J. Croft III, 100 Amy Drive, Cranston. RI 02921. The property is 7.51 acres and is zoned A-20.

The applicants propose to subdivide the parcel into four lots for single-family homes which are to be serviced by public water and sewer. The proposed single-family residential use is allowed by-right within the Cranston Zoning Code and is consistent with the goals and policies of the Cranston Comprehensive Plan. The Cranston Zoning Board of Review granted relief for lot frontage and lot width on May 12, 2021. All other aspects of the subdivision comply with A-20 zoning.

Plans, staff reports and recommendations on this application will be posted to the  Planning Department’s webpage at https://www.cranstonri.com/departments/planning/.  If you are unable to access the files electronically, materials are available at the Planning Department, Room 309, Cranston City Hall, during regular office hours, 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.

As an abutting resident, you are invited to attend this public hearing at which time, plans will be presented for public comment and City Plan Commission review.

Pursuant to the Cranston Subdivision and Land Development Regulations, the proposed plan may be revised by the City Plan Commission as a result of further study or because of views expressed at this meeting. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired should contact the Planning Department at 461-1000 ext. 3136, seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting date.
