Center expands to accommodate growing need for Autism treatment

Posted

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the more than doubling in size of the Autism Care Partners center at 275 West Natick Rd. The center now has more than 11,000 square feet of treatment space  and is capable of accommodating 50 children from 18 months to 7 years old.

“During my time at the Warwick center, it has been a privilege to watch our clients grow and succeed through our integrated approach to care which includes Applied Behavior Analysis, speech and language services, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, diagnostic evaluations, and social work. With the expansion of the Warwick center, we look forward to growing our team and providing exceptional care to more families in our community” said Nicole Dodd, managing BCBA of the newly enlarged Warwick center in a statement.

In addition to core interdisciplinary services, ACP’s treatment program utilizes The Visual Immersion System™ (VIS™), a proprietary and innovative program co-developed with Boston Children’s Hospital’s Autism Language Program. The VIS™, an evidence-based intervention, differentially improves communication and learning for individuals on the autism spectrum through the use of a technology-supported, visual-based, treatment framework.

“With the increasing prevalence of ASD diagnosis, we at ACP are grateful to be part of the solution to Rhode Island families by increasing access to evidence-based care,” said Andrea Lavigne, regional vice president of Autism Care Partners.

Warwick Mayor, Frank J. Picozzi was expected to participate in the ribbon cutting event.

ACP happily welcomes families, academic and medical partners, health plan colleagues and community members to its new center space to learn about ACP and its comprehensive suite of interdisciplinary services, according to the release.

About Autism Care Partners Founded in 1992 as an Early Intervention Provider in New York City, Autism Care Partners has evolved to become a recognized leader in the delivery of comprehensive behavioral therapy to individuals on the autism spectrum.
