OneCranston Health Equity Zone, Cranston Public Library and Community Connectors hosted Connecting Four Cranston – an interactive block party – on June 4. The event took place at four libraries across Cranston and offered different family-friendly activities at each venue. Families were shuttled between the four locations and participated in a raffle.

At William Hall Library, kids designed their ‘Ideal Cranston’ using Legos and large printed maps of the city. At Central Library, families participated in Zumba classes and tasted dumplings from around the world. At Oaklawn Library, kids heard a story and painted worry stones since the event focused on mental and emotional health. At Auburn Library, individuals learned the art of zine-making and created their own mini magazine. (Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
