Beltane Magic Class with Jamie from Arrow Tarot
Sunday, May 2nd 10am-12pm
Investment: $70

Beltane is an ancient Gaelic May Day Fire Festival that falls at the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. It marks the official start of summer. It symbolizes a time for abundance, fertility, and protection. This is a time of year to dream big for the future and make room for dreams to come true.

During the first part of the class, you will hear some Beltane stories and meet the main Gods/Goddesses associate with the season. We will talk about ways that Beltane magic is still active in the modern world, and how you can tap into that power. Jamie will share spells, superstitions, and recipes that you can try at home. You will even receive a spell kit created especially for Beltane!

For the second part of the class, you will enjoy a meditation ritual inside of the salt cave! Jamie weaves music, reiki, tarot, and traditional Beltane incantations into a relaxing and insightful experience. Start your summer off with some inspiring, healing energy, and connect with a group of like-minded magic seekers!

The spell kit comes with instructions for your own home Beltane altar and ritual. It contains:

For the Spirit of Beltane: a clip-on flower to represent what is blossoming in your life. We will use the flower to set intentions and bless them in the ritual. You can place the flower on your altar at home, and then clip it somewhere to remind you of the magic you are manifesting every day.

For the ritual bath: Lemon-Lavender Epsom salts, to represent the bright freshness of summer. Lemon and lavender are a popular combination for Beltane. The combo can ease depression and anxiety. Epsom salt aids in easing sore, tired muscles.

Ritual Libation: Hawthorne berry tea. Parts of the Hawthorne tree are used in spells for protection and manifestation. Ancient Beltane rituals began when the Hawthorne trees bloomed. Hawthorne berries are loaded with antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties.

Element of Earth: a five-pointed cast iron star. Iron is a symbol of strength, protection, and life-giving warmth. It can also repel visitors with bad intentions toward you.

Element of Air: the feather of a mourning dove (found, not taken). The mourning dove is a symbol of love, peace, and hope. These birds are also considered to be a sign a good luck.

Element of Fire: a tealight candle. Beltane is a fire festival, meaning that our ancestors would use fire in the celebrations. They would light bonfires and drive cattle between the fires for good luck and protection throughout the growing year. Then, the re-light hearth fires with the same flames from the celebration. No Beltane altar would be complete without a flame.

Element of Water: Spring rain collected in a glass vile. This rain was from a storm on a waxing crescent moon in Gemini. During the waxing moon, the moon’s illumination is growing. Like the moon, your year has only just begun, you’ve experienced so much already, and there’s still time to manifest big things. On the morning of Beltane, maidens would go out into the meadow and apply the fresh morning dew from the grass, to their skin for protection of their youth and beauty.
