Students and their families poured into Thornton Elementary School last Friday night, donning their best winter and Christmas pajamas, for a chance to hop on the Polar Express. Upon checking in, each child received a ticket with a color corresponding to a certain activity. Some students received an opportunity to take a photo with Santa Claus or play bingo, while others had a chance to make ornaments or partake in a reading. Elena Simpson, Owen Niles and Brooklyn Russillo (above left) can be seen posing for a photo just before heading upstairs to their assigned areas.
