A house for all seasons

The pale yellow dollhouse that delights children at the town's Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library changes decorations with the holidays. Thanks to the creativity of library clerk Arlene Asprinio (pictured) it's ready for winter with tiny snow people in occupancy — from the cozy kitchen to the attic writing room.
Asprinio says the house is also a lesson in recycling. Almost every detail — right down to the soda cap cheesecake — has been created from a repurposed item. "The children love it," she said, describing how some will stand transfixed peering at the tiny rooms decorated with care. (Beacon Media photos by Barbara Polichetti)
