A celebration 'fur' 100 years

Posted

Angelina Lanzi, founder of Lanzi Furs Incorporated in Johnston, was born Sept. 10, 1920, and enjoys a wonderful and full life as she celebrates her 100th birthday.

She is still actively enjoying her faith, family, friends and of course gathering together for good Italian meal.

Born a century ago to Valentino Ronci and Maria Bianchi, she grew up in the Silver Lake area working for her father at Ronci’s Bakery.

She has four daughters, 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She spends many hours volunteering her time and talents at churches throughout Rhode Island and Florida, making banners and restoring statues.

Her passion for cooking and baking has brought so many people together as her love has always been to serve others.

Her time now is spent making and framing puzzles and donating them to charity.

If you ask her what is your secret to a long and fulfilling life, She would answer, “Pray often, learn everything you can, enjoy the company of others, and keep busy!”
