So being in the beauty industry for 40 years I was blessed with making a lot of friends. Some were moms, some were friends … but always I felt blessed by every person that came into my life.
As a nail tech, when you hold someone’s hands over time, they tend to share. I’ve bonded with many of them and one in particular, Judy. She’s Italian, like me, and understood my fiery personality. We had granddaughters the same age and I was lucky enough to spend time with her granddaughter Sidney, making fairy gardens.
What I really admired about her was her love of her husband, Jack. He was a gentle guy that sent her flowers every week. He understood her strengths and let her rule the roost. She has a very successful son and through him two very intelligent granddaughters.
Sadly, Jack, her husband, passed away this week. Over the last few years she would share his health struggles. Never angry but determined to help him. I am sad for her because he loved her so much and she loved him. It was a love that had no limits. They were lucky to have each other and from her I learned what love is all about.
