WILLIAM GEOGHEGAN
SPORTS EDITOR
What do you do on your days off?
Watch sports. Just like my days on.
Tell us something unexpected about yourself.
I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, yet I love the ocean and have no discernible southern accent, except when I say the word "spider."
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
I'm allergic to wheat. Since I wouldn't have to worry about it this time, I'd eat all the pizza, sub sandwiches and Olive Garden breadsticks I could.
What made you want to become a writer?
I've always been good at it and I've always loved telling stories. When I used to play football or basketball video games, I'd often write fake game stories about my teams. Once I started doing it for real, I couldn't see myself as anything other than a writer.
Favorite sports underdog
The Chicago Cubs.
