Wicked Tulips Farm blooms for 2019 season

Posted

Cars lined up as Wicked Tulips Flower Farm opened for its 2019 season on Monday, and online tickets quickly sold out for the opening day event.

The farm is located at 90 Brown Ave. and features the largest “U-pick” tulip fields in all of New England. Open for just a few weeks, the farm assesses field conditions week by week and issues a “Bloom Report” on its website with updates as to the picking conditions. Tickets go on sale on the website accordingly.

Wicked Tulips Farm is located on a historic farm and features 600,000 tulips of different sizes, colors and varieties. Guests are welcome to pick as many tulips as they wish and to visit the show garden as well, which is for enjoying but not for picking.

Artists can be seen capturing the splendor on canvas as they set up in the fields, and families are found photographing their children as they tiptoe through the tulips. There are benches on site for sitting and resting for a moment, and guests are welcome to bring a blanket and spread out to enjoy lunch or snack while taking in the beauty of the sights.
