Walk with Cops emerges in winter

Everyone from Johnston Police Explorers Chief Jen Castiglioni to Mayor Joseph Polisena to Chief Richard Tamburini treated the town’s seniors to a special edition of Walk with Cops last Thursday.

While the Johnston Walk with Cops program takes a hiatus from the track at Memorial Park during the winter, the group still got together last Thursday for the annual Christmas Party at the Johnston Senior Center.

Organist John Scotti played Christmas music while Police Chief Richard Tamburini and his officers, as well as Mayor Joseph Polisena, treated attendees to a variety of pastries and coffee.

Mayor Polisena wished the group Merry Christmas, and poked fun at the State House “holiday tree” by adding, “And please, always remember, we are proud that we have a Christmas tree in the town of Johnston.”
