Mayor Joseph Polisena, Police Chief Richard S. Tamburini and the men and women of the Johnston Police Department are reaching out to the community to assist in the Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit Operation Stand Down.
The Johnston Police Department has begun collecting non-perishable food donations and that will continue through Nov. 25. The donations can be dropped off at the department’s headquarters and placed in the Operation Stand Down collection box.
All donated items collect will be delivered on Nov. 26.
“You can help us make a difference to those families who gave so much of themselves by their service,” said a police spokesperson. “Your donation is greatly appreciated.”
