The Bridge pledges allegiance to the flag

The Bridge at Cherry Hill celebrated Flag Day last Thursday with a presentation by the Korean War Veterans Association and an educational program run by Bridge staffers, who shared with the residents the origins of the American flag, the Rhode Island flag and the Pledge of Allegiance. As the veterans demonstrated how to fold the flag properly, the staff read aloud from an explanation of what each fold means. The residents and staff then sang the “Star Spangled Banner” before digging in to refreshments, including a cake with an American flag on it.
