The Bridge at Cherry Hill offers tricks and treats

What equals lots of candy, colorful costumes, fantastic family, hot apple cider and homemade pumpkin cookies?

It would be lots of events, none though, that quite equal what The Bridge at Cherry Hill held last Thursday evening to help their beloved residents and a number of Johnstonians get a jump on celebrating Halloween.

Mr. Potato Head came to the party, as did the Grim Reaper, a variety of witches, Cinderella, policemen and women, pro football players and just about every kind of costume people purchased or made up, made it extra special for the many residents who passed out candy to those howling hallers.

“The residents love this,” Ann Marie Cardilli, The Bridge’s dining room hostess, said. “They’re having as much fun as the kids.”

Although Cardilli didn’t have on a costume, she helped direct the many children and their families to various floors at the award-wining assisted living and retirement complex while other employees like Audrey Manfredi came decked out as “Breakfast” and received al kinds of compliments for her fun loving way of adding to the event’s success.

In the middle of it all was Maryann Grace, The Bridge’s Executive Director and Jen Burns who serves as Sales and Community Relations Director who also made sure each and every guest had fun and plenty of candy and cookies.

“This is the third year we’ve done this,” Grace reported. “It seems as though it’s getting bigger and better each year. Our residents really love it when the ids come trick or treating.”
