Michelle Kwan skated at the Providence Civic Center as part of the 1997 Tour of World Figure Skating Champions.

Daily Bread on Reservoir Ave. in Cranston offered free bread tasting on Saturday.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic presented “Bravo, Broadway” an evening of classic Broadway show tunes, conducted by Francisco Noya.

“Ain’t Misbehavin’, starring Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, was at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Patricia Hawkridge, Clare Blackmar, Vera Wayne and Kristen Gunning starred in a Newgate Theatre production of “Why We Have a Body,” a funny play from a female perspective.

CODAC celebrated its 25th anniversary with an exciting program, “Arts in a Drug Free Society” at Moses Brown School.

Belaire and Dunn, Wire and Wood and Vincent Pasternak kicked off a series of folk and country music at the Coffeehouse at Edgewood Congregational Church. The following week Folks Together performed.

Brown University playwright, Paul Vogel’s “Hot ‘N’ Throbbing” was performed at Perishable Theatre.
