The Rotary Club of Warwick presented grants totaling $15,000 to 12 nonprofit agencies Thursday, funds raised through a variety of events including a car raffle, a gourmet gala, a May breakfast and the roast of Mayor Scott Avedisian. Recipients of grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 outlined how the money would be used. Recipients included the Ocean State Center for Independent Living, Cornerstone Adult Services, the RI Academic Decathlon, the Trudeau Memorial Center, the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, Warwick Center for the Arts, Westbay Community Action, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Boy Scouts of America, the Boys and Girls Club of Warwick, the Kent Center and Mentor Rhode Island.
